"Our mission is to reduce euthanasia of homeless cats and dogs through rescue, adoption and education about responsible pet guardianship."
Our cats are all in loving foster homes or at our adoption center at the PetSmart in Scottsdale near the intersection of 90th & Shea. We save as many cats and kittens as our fosters and volunteers can handle, from mothers with litters of energetic kittens to senior cats who are just looking for a forever home to retire. We know all of their personalities very well and work diligently to ensure we find the purrfect forever home for each one.
Clarice was rescued from the streets of Phoenix. She was very thin and clearly was near starvation. She has been in a loving foster home and is now her normal weight. She is not a lap cat, but is very sweet. She does very well with other cats and would probably do well with a dog after a slow introduction.
Elle Belle was rescued from outside where she was being fed by a kind cat person. Elle Belle is very sweet but will need time and patience to trust new people. Once she is comfortable, she is very cuddly.
Flower was found outdoors after being dumped by her previous owners, and Paw Placement was contacted to help her find a new forever home. Flower was reserved at first, but over time has found trust in humans again and doesn't hold any grudges.
We are an all breed rescue, which means that we save everything from Pitbulls to Papillons! Our dogs are all in loving foster homes, we don't have a boarding facility. You can rest assured that every one of them is safe and loved until we find the perfect forever home. We know our pups very well, and we do everything we can to make sure they go to a home that is correctly equipped to handle the unique needs of each particular dog.
Bellini is a fun and spunky young girl. Her breed is largely a mystery, though the area she came from and her looks imply she's probably part border collie. Bellini is a girl who loves to play with her doggie foster siblings, and we'd love to find a forever home with a doggie brother. She'd also love to go to an active home or a home with children to play with. She enjoys chewing on her antlers and nylabones, chasing balls and squeakie toys, and cuddling with her humans. As with all young puppies, she'll require lots of continued training and socialization to ensure she grows into a happy and well balanced adult dog.
Bubba comes with a sad story. He lived his entire life outside, his only cover from sun or rain was a flimsy wooden plank. His ears are scarred and mangled from fly bites, his eyes were both infected when he came to us, and his spirit was clearly broken.Bubba is now is a loving Paw Placement foster home, and he's blossoming before our eyes. As soon as he had a bath - possibly his first ever - we could tell he felt better. He rubbed himself on a towel, flipped on his back and rolled on the carpet, and got the "so fresh and so clean" zoomies! Next was teaching him to walk on a leash, then house training and potty training, socializing him with people and exposing him to a whole new world.
Calhoun and two other puppies were found in the desert, over 10 miles from the nearest home. Calhoun was welcomed into a loving foster home that is experienced with hunting breeds, specifically hounds. Foster momma tells us Cal is all hound - high energy, intelligent and vocal. Cal is extremely loving and affectionate with his people, friendly and outgoing with new people, and social and playful with dogs. Cal is looking for a forever home that is experienced with hunting or working breeds. He would also very much prefer to be placed in a home with a doggie playmate. Calhoun will not be placed in an apartment or condo - this boy needs a yard.
We charge an adoption fee, but those fees don't come close to covering our vet, food, and supply bills. We rely on people like you to help us continue our mission to provide safe and loving homes to as many homeless pets as possible. We appreciate every donation, whether it be monetary, pet food, pet supplies, cleaning supplies, towels, or blankets. We accept monetary donations online through our website or Facebook page. We also accept donations during any of our adoption events.
